Tri-Chandra College (presently named as Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus) is a historic and the premier academic institution of Nepal. It was established in 1918. Tribhuvan University (TU) was born out of this college. It has a glorious history and it was the only college for many decades to produce the required manpower in the country. It has produced majority of the presently working doctors, engineers, scientists, professors, administrators, politicians, etc. in the country.

Tri-Chandra Campus has presently over 20 departments in Science and Arts streams, the only campus, which has almost all the subjects that Tribhuvan University has offered courses in Science and Humanities. The campus has over 6000 students studying in various disciplines. In science stream it has the departments of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Meteorology, Microbiology and Environmental Science. This campus is now seriously moving forward with a mission towards providing high standard education in the country so that its products are able to face the challenges of the twenty first Century.
